Linglestown Life has three campuses that include our virtual campus, our Rockville Campus, and our Linglestown Campus. At this time due to COVID-19 constraints, our Sunday morning Children and Youth Ministries are on hiatus until a time when we can offer a complete ministry experience that is safely attainable for our volunteers and students alike. Once we are back in action, our Sunday morning programs are conducted at the Linglestown Campus. The Edge Youth Group, a Sunday evening experience, is meeting on a limited basis at this time at the Linglestown Campus.
Nursery Care/Little Lambs
Available every Sunday morning during both of our in-person worship services at our Linglestown Campus. During the 8:30 a.m. service in our traditional sanctuary, nursery care is located down the hallway behind the sanctuary, on the right. During the 10:00 a.m. service in our Family Life Center, childcare is offered next to our Cafe hospitality area. Our childcare is appropriate for children from three months through preschool as our spaces are equipped with everything necessary for infant and toddler care and comfort, along with toys and books.
A semi-private space is available for nursing moms.
Little Disciples Preschool
We have two preschool Sunday School classes, offered from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. These classrooms are found down the hallway directly behind the traditional sanctuary. Our Little Disciples I class is designed for children ages 2-1/2 to 4, and our 4-year-olds meet separately in Little Disciples II. These classes are designed to introduce our preschoolers to Jesus so they can begin to embrace God’s love through stories, songs, activities and more.
Kidz Zone for K thru Fifth
Sunday School for preK/kindergarten through fifth grade, and is offered from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. These classrooms are all found on the second floor of our education wing. These kids begin their hour together for a short period of singing and worship, after which they return to their grade level classrooms for engaging and interactive lessons. Our spiritual goal for elementary children includes learning to trust and follow God and their faith.
Linglestown Life Youth
Disciple U for Middle and High School
Youth beginning in sixth grade through twelfth grade enjoy their hour together from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall, located in our lower level next to the kitchen. Each student receives a journal that allows for note taking during the discussion that includes scripture plus a lesson, all put together based upon that morning’s sermon from the pulpit.
WELCOME TO THE EDGE! THE EDGE YOUTH GROUP meets during the school year on Sunday evenings, generally from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in our Fellowship Hall space at our Linglestown Campus. Find Fellowship Hall by driving ALL the way around the church to the back, and look for the RED double doors to enter! We consider ourselves WORKS IN PROGRESS at the EDGE as we learn more about our EveryDayGodlyExperiences, apply these to our lives in relevant and FUN ways, and build relationships with God and each other.
This group is open to sixth through twelfth grade students, understanding that on many occasions we will separate the ages for specific discussions and even some activities. All EDGE youth will help us get to know them by completing a STUDENT CONNECT CARD at a meeting, and MUST hand in a PARENT PERMISSION/WAIVER FORM that can be picked up at a meeting OR downloaded by clicking here. We encourage Edge Youth to bring friends, and all are welcome.
FirstSunday4Worship …on this Sunday, no morning classes are held for kindergarten through twelfth grade as it is our goal to emphasize that Sunday as a day we specifically encourage our community of faith to reach out to one another, to invite extended family and friends to church, and to encourage and celebrate our relationships through worship together. This includes a focus on our children and youth as we invite and encourage them to join parents and caregivers in the pews so that, together, they can experience and better understand aspects of worship foundational to their faith journey. Nursery care, Little Lambs, and Little Disciples I and II continue to offer care and classes EVERY Sunday, as usual.

We Are A Safe Sanctuary
At Linglestown Life, our team of dedicated children and youth servants has been through our Safe Sanctuaries training program. This program not only screens our volunteers, but also provides them with a safe and consistent procedure by which we can protect both our children and our adult volunteers. As part of this policy for children through fifth grade, we ask our parents and caregivers to sign-in their child when dropping off and sign-out their child when picking up directly from the classrooms. For more information about our Safe Sanctuaries, please go to Linglestown Life Safe Sanctuaries Policy
