The Christmas season is filled with movies and tv specials that highlight what makes this time of year so treasured, both within Christianity and outside of it. This advent we’ll enjoy a look at these general themes through 5 Christmas specials and how these connect to being a disciple of Jesus in a community feeling the joy of the season that can bring transformation beyond this time of year.

Advent 2021
November 21 at 4:30pm join us on the around the bonfire for a time of singing and hot cocoa as we prepare to welcome Advent. This will also be a time for us to distribute names and gift suggestions for our annual Christmas gift distribution for the United Methodist Home for Children. This event will be at the pavilion and bonfire pit at our Linglestown Campus.
Join us for an Online Advent Bible Study on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm and available through RightNow Media. Each week Pastor George will facilitate the experience which includes a video segment, Bible study and discussion.
Who exactly is Jesus? What kind of God would come to earth as a human?
As Christmas approaches, the season of Advent offers us a chance to reflect on our savior, his purpose, and the surprising ways he invited people near to him. Join pastor Derwin Gray in this five-session Advent study as he unveils King Jesus—the God-man who defied expectations, the king of all creation who humbled himself to serve and die, the friend to sinners who wants to lift us up.

CHRISTMAS SERVICES
This year we are offering several unique worship experiences. Our hope is that you can participate in these services with your family and neighbors.
THURSDAY DECEMBER 23rd, 4PM – OUTDOOR DRIVE-IN SERVICE AT THE LINGLESTOWN CAMPUS
Drive-in to our outdoor wonderland as we celebrate Jesus’ birth with carols and candlelight! We will sing some favorite carols together, read the Christmas story and end our 45 minute experience with a candle lighting ceremony. You can remain in your car or bring a chair to sit closer to the stage.
Candles and glow sticks will be provided for all participants. (If weather is bad, we will cancel event)
FRIDAY DECEMBER 24TH, 2PM – ROCKVILLE CAMPUS
Celebrate Christmas Eve in the afternoon at our Rockville Campus. This traditional service will include readings, carols and prayer.
FRIDAY DECEMBER 24TH 5:00PM – LINGLESTOWN CAMPUS
This family/kid friendly candlelight service will be held in the Family Life Center at our Linglestown Campus.
FRIDAY DECEMBER 24TH 7:00PM – LINGLESTOWN CAMPUS
This traditional candlelight service will include readings, carols and prayer. The service will be held in the Family Life Center at our Linglestown Campus
SUNDAY DECEMBER 26th – ONLINE PRE RECORDED
Enjoy a slow morning and tune into the Sunday service “on demand” anytime after 8:30am.

EVENTS
ADVENT KICK-OFF CELEBRATION
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21st – 4:30-5:30PM
We want you to get in the spirit of celebration as we kick off Advent. Join us at the Linglestown Campus for this celebration. We will gather outside around a bonfire, sing carols, drink hot cocoa, and distribute at-home materials for Advent.
We want to spread our hope to a resident at the United Methodist Home for Children in Mechanicsburg. We will have the names of residents and specific items for those young people this Christmas. You can choose a name, purchase the gift, and return it by December 6th.
CHRISTKINDLEMART – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11th
Linglestown Life will be participating in this year’s Christkindlmarkt on Saturday, December 11.
We are hosting a 5k Fun Run at 7:00am on December 11. The event will start at Linglestown Life and end in Koons Park.
We will also be participating in the Live Nativity at 10:30am. This is always a beautiful event that runs throughout the day as area churches take a turn filling the roles of the nativity.
CHRISTMAS MUSICAL – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11th , 2pm & 7pm
December 11 is the date of our Christmas Musical, Joy! Unspeakable Joy! at 2:00 and 7:00pm in the Family Life Center of the Linglestown campus. The choir and orchestra are hard at work preparing! Invite a friend to this beautiful time of music.

As we move into the final months of 2021, we would like to invite you to prayerfully consider a Christmas Gift over and above your regular giving.
