Life Choir Update

We are sad to share that Jeanne Chubb, our Life Choir Director, will be resigning from her role by the end of the year as she is relocating out of the Linglestown area. We are so grateful for her service among us, and her faithful directing of both our Life Choir and our past 5 Christmas and Easter cantatas. Please join us in sharing our gratitude for her and her ministry.

We are now looking for our next director of this ministry. A job description can be found below, and we invite you to share it with someone who is musically gifted and has a love for Jesus and choral music. If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

Join us for our annual Trunk or Treat that has grown into a full blown Fall Festival! There will be a decorated trunk or treat, games, food trucks and more! This event is open to everyone and you do not have to be in costume to attend, but it is encouraged!

Come celebrate Saint Francis of Assis as we have our first ever Blessing of the Pets on Sunday, October 11th at 4pm. If you have any pets in your house and they can be outside on a leash or in a cage, then bring them to the church pavilion and participate!

BREAKING BREAD TOGETHER – This month’s BBT is an end of summer celebration in the pavilion. Our cooks are grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers. Bring a dish to share, if you are able. As always, this is for our entire church community! Bring your family and friends and enjoy a delicious meal, wonderful fellowship, and a Jesus story shared by Pastor Rachel. Wednesday, September 16th @ 530pm. See you there!

We are excited about a new initiative coming to Linglestown Life on August 30th: 5th Sunday Serve. You are invited to stay after worship and serve at 1 of 4 projects. Here at the church, you are invited to serve with our LAHMB’s ministry, make cards for Caitlin’s Smiles, or put together school kits for Mission Central. Or, you are invited to join a group going to Church World Service to help organize their food pantry. Please sign up on your connection card for where you want to serve! Note: Church World Service is limited to 10 participants, so sign up soon! As part of this initiative, we will be collecting items for making Caitlin Smiles cards AND for the school kits throughout the month of August. More details on that soon!
