Love Your Neighborhood Series

“All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we’re giving or receiving help, each one of us has something valuable to bring to this world. That’s one of the things that connects us as neighbors–in our own way, each one of us is a giver and a receiver.” – Fred Rogers

You have been set in your neighborhood to promote the common good!
Your love for your neighborhood is a God-given opportunity to promote the giving and receiving that blesses all the people in your neighborhood.
Our new message series, Love Your Neighborhood, is an opportunity for each of us to move beyond saying we love our neighbors and actually put that love into practice. We will explore ways to see our neighbors, overcome barriers and move from being strangers to friends. We will learn how our actions seek the peace and prosperity for all our neighbors.

Throughout the series you’ll be able to interact with the message content and one another during a Message Discussion that will take place immediately after worship. The discussion will be facilitated in person and over Zoom at approximately 9:15am and 10:45am.
Discussion guides will be provided weekly for you to interact with the message content personally and with others.

A number of neighboring resources are also available on RightNow Media under the Linglestown Life tab. You can watch these programs on your own or with others. Pastor George will lead a 4-week discussion based on the series 12 Neighbors. This group will meet in-person and virtually on Wednesday nights. The dates are April 21 and 28, May 5 and 12 from 7:00-8:30pm.

The 12 Neighbors film series asks, “What does it really mean to love your neighbor?” It features amazing people sharing their life experiences and unique insights into poverty and marginalization. Through powerful storytelling and original music, these films will both educate and inspire you to think differently about what it means to love others and to help affect real change. Learn the 5 practical keys to really loving your neighbor, and deepen your own experience of the full life.
