We’re offering free literacy camps and support to students this summer. We’re doing this weekly and for two specific weeks. Every Tuesday between 5 and 7pm we’re meeting students from STSD and HBG SD at our Rays Place to do tutoring, read alouds, and other fun literacy focused programs.
These are free for the community as are our two weeks of summer camps. We are offering one week of reading camps for elementary students and another week for middle school students; we want to help with English Language comprehension, and also promote healthy community life.
We need your help to make these programs a success! See the attached signup geniuses and sign up for week one or week two:
Weekly helper/support on Tuesday nights
Adult or youth volunteers for week 1 – elementary age students – Last week of July
Adult or youth volunteers for week 2 – middle school student participants – first week of August
We need volunteers, snacks that are peanut free, and other donations. Please also take time to pray that we can minister to kids and create a fun neighborhood connection.
