The Story is the Bible as one continuing story of God and His people.  Divided into 31 chapters reading The Story is much like a novel - no verse numbers, no chapters - just an easy to read version of the Bible.

from the preface:

The Story contains portions of Scripture that were thoughtfully and carefully excerpted and then placed in chronological order.  Transitions, which appear in italic, were written to summarize omitted Scripture text in order to help the storyline read smoothly.

The Story, Teen Edition contains the same 31 chapters as the adult version.  But the Teen edition also contains a number of interactive features that will keep teens on track.

The Story for Kids is a 31 chapter edition of The Story taken from the NIV Reader's Version.  Kids in grades 3-4-5 will use this book at home and in Sunday school.

The Story for Children is a beautiful hardbound book with 31 chapters which parents can read each week to their children from K-2 grade.

The Story for Little Ones is a great book to help introduce your youngest children to the story of God.  Written in 31 beautiful chapters with colorful illustrations parents, and grandparents, will enjoy making memories with their children.

The Story Trading Cards will be distributed each week in Sunday school as a way for parents and children to interact with the weekly story.

The student materials will all be distributed in the Sunday school classrooms.  Parents wishing to help defray the cost of the materials may wish to make a donation using the envelope inside their child's book.

Understanding the Difficult Passages of the Old Testament

As we move through the chapters of The Story, specifically from Chapter 6 onward, we find images of bloody battles and some behavior that we don't understand.  Below are a few links to articles that may help you discern what is happening.  These articles are written to teachers of the Bible and provide keen insight to our understanding.  Each article is approximately 4 pages long.
